"Get to Do List"
Feb 27, 2024
It’s a privilege to be alive.
To help my family and kids.
I’m a palliative care physician.
Working part time but full time mom and house manager.
I remember when I had a colonoscopy,
I couldn’t drive anyone anywhere.
I slept all day.
Couldn’t cook. Couldn’t clean. Couldn’t do laundry.
Woke up to this sink.
It dawned on me that sick moms can’t do anything.
They can’t drive. They can’t cook, they can’t clean.
Life is a privilege. To do laundry is a privilege.
One day I won’t be able to do any of this.
Until that day… I’m glad to be alive, healthy and well to help run my home.
Wow what a shift in perspective.
What if you switched your thinking from a "To Do List" to "Get to Do List"
